Rezia Wahid MBE is a weaver and artist who works with the concepts of air and light. Her signature pieces are intricate yet understated, inspired by nature and her everyday life as an artist and mother. Rezia's work has been showcased in art organisations across the world including her "Mosque in Rome" piece at Rhode Island Museum in 2009, and a collection exhibited at Tate Edit in 2019 alongside Ani Albers's exhibition. This year she had planned a research programme with V&A and Whitechapel Gallery which is in standstill due to Covid19. Currently, Rezia is sampling for a Solo show scheduled for Spring 2021 at Whitchurch Silk Mill.
Rezia founded Woven Air in 1998 and is a member of the Waltham Forest Muslim Culture Forum and William Morris Big Local.
